Zero to One | Book Review
What’s it all about?
Creating breakthrough companies, first of their kind and market dominators. The title “Zero to One’ refers to the concept of building and launching a company which is unique (going from nothing like it, to one of a kind), rather than following existing models of success and just producing the next X. Producing the next X, whether it be Facebook, eBay or Google, is just going from 1 to n (many of the same thing). In this book Peter Thiel challenges us to make something new and strive for creating true value in the world.
Who wrote it?
Peter Thiel – One of Silicon Valley’s super majors. Thiel co-founded both Paypal and Palantir, invested in the likes of Facebook and LinkedIn, and nowadays is known for his involvement in Tesla and Space X.
Feeding your imagination, raising your ambitions and empowering yourself to do something great. This is a fantastic book right at the bleeding edge of the mission to improve the world around us through tech entrepreneurship.
Long read / easy read?
Short – medium read at 195 pages. Really easy to get into, addictive and very hard to put down.
